Income tax department has put on its website all the forms for filing of return for Asst 2008-09 in Excel format. These excel utilities are prepared keeping in mind the requirement of efiling of return. So, those taxpayers who want to just prepare the return and file in print form , they should fill and print out the forms.Click on respective forms .It is in zipped format, unzip it and use it.
ITR-1 For Individual having salary/pension income or only income from other source
ITR-2 For Individuals and HUFs not having Income from Business or Profession
ITR-3 For Individuals/HUFs being partners in firms and not carrying out business or profession under any proprietorship .
ITR-4 For individuals & HUFs having income from a proprietary business or profession .
Those who wants to file return online , steps suggested on the web site is as under
- Register on the website incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in
- Prepare the return using the Excel utility of respective ITR.
- Generate the XML format .
- Log in the website and upload the XML format as per the guideline there.
